Holograms
...Hmm looks like all that hot weather has killed off the blog monsters.
This place looks like a desolate ruin though, they really did a number here.
I may just have to rebuild and star over again.
...Or maybe I'll leave the remnants as sort of a monument to what this place once was.
Here's a shot at hopefully reviving a stagnating land:
Today in the shower, I was thinking about movies. 3D movies to be exact. You know, 3D glasses and the whole bit, though really, it's not in 3D. It's an optical trick; something having to do with the fact that your eyes see two slightly different perspectives. The film is still two dimentional.
Then I started thinking about holograms, ala Star Wars. Small miniturized "videos" of people that you can see from all angles. Imagine that we could create holograms like that. Imagine watching movies like that. Fully 3D actors acting, playing your favourite movies on your coffee table while you mill about the house. I wonder if that kind of technology will ever surface in my time.
This weekend I'm going to woodsong music festival on Orcas Island. My friend Jo will be playing bass there, as will the great IMR. There will be camping. Who knows what kind of madness will ensue.
I haven't played my guitar in a long time and recently I've been picking it up and playing more. It feels good. Ever since I saw Once I've been playing it more. Good art inspires more art. I've even started writing some Techno Beats on Garage Band. Hopefully when my first song is done I'll find some way of mounting it online. Maybe that old dying craze, myspace? Will anyone listen to it there?
