it is late and I am contemplating the nature of friendship.

have you ever thought about how you grow while you sleep? You don't really grow when you are awake, most of your body's energy is expended on sustaining conciousness and other like activities. It's when you're asleep that your body makes decisions, constructs new mental pathways, makes your arms longer, or your waist wider, or your brain fuller and hosts of other things. It's weird to think about. Sleep as a form of maturity, and if one fails to sleep, one is denying their body the opporunity to not only reconstruct oneself, but to construct anew as well. I should get some sleep...

but first, I don't know how many of you know this, but I wake up in the middle of the night all the time when I sleep. It's become an essential part of what makes sleeping normal for me. Anyway, is this cuz I'm a light sleeper? or is my brain really active and has trouble like really shutting down? that second part may sound pretentious, but it's a real condition. I have a friend that suffers from it, sleep is very difficult for them. there's all kinds of therapies and remedies and pills to help exhaust the brain or sedate it so that sleep is possible.

Maybe I'm just trying to find things wrong with myself so I can throw on a new lable on my chest. Oh humans and their need for lables. Even it's just "Lable-less", that's still one.

not a new idea.

ok bed time.
